Baseball Feels the Pinch for Green Space

February 08, 2014

The GW Club Baseball team will begin the 2014 NCBA season without a field to call home.  Due to a lack of regulation baseball diamonds in Arlington, County and the District of Columbia, the GW Club Baseball team is searching for fields to play their home games on this season.  Barcroft Park, home of GW's varsity baseball team, is also used by Arlington County varsity baseball teams, Babe Ruth Leagues, and Adult Baseball Leagues which are all affiliated with Arlington County.  The team is actively searching in Alexandria, VA, Fairfax County, VA and Montgomery County, MD for three weekends of field space with the help of the Office of Campus Recreation.  The team will begin play with games on the weekend of April 22 - 23.
